Control System PACO8000

Description:
PACO8000 is a control system of the blanking process of magnetic laminations.
It is based on advanced microcontroller technology and it is the result of a development process base on past experiences and on present market requirements.
Characteristics:
* Advanced microcontroller technology
  (32 bit computer, flash memory, etc.)

* LCD display with background illumination type CFL :
   - high contrast
   - with graphic capabilities
   - 240 x 128 pixels (123mm x 68mm display area)

* Membrane keyboard

* Memory card for external data storage (tool data)

* Language conversion without exchange of software. At present, the following languages are available:
   - English
   - German
   - Italian
   - French
   - Portuguese
   - Spanish
   - Slovak
   - Russian
   - Hungarian

* Simple user interface

* The system PACO8000 works synchronously with the blanking press by the installation of an encoder on the press to continuously detect the exact position of the press.

* "Die monitoring" unit with the following features :
   - 16 monitoring channels defined by :
   - monitoring agle range
   - static or dynamic monitoring
   - monitoring signal state
   - immediate stop or top stop of the press selectable for each channel
   - possibility of bypass of monitoring function during set-up or during strip insertion
   - diagnostic functions
   - each one of the 32 digital inputs can be freely assigned to one logic channel

* "Cam control" unit with electronic programmable cams (max 16) :
   - angle/angle
   - angle/time
   - angle/angle/counter
   - angle/time/counter
   - angle/counter OFF/counter ON

* "Lamination die controller" unit with up to 10 programmable stacking channels:
   - max 100 programming lines for each channel
   - in each programming line it is possible to set the height of the section in mm or in laminas
   - for each stacking channel you can program one separator slide and up to 7 additional slides 
     (ex.: different inner diameters, chamfering holes, embossing pusher exclusion, ecc.)
   - it is possibile for the operator to manually modify the total stack height (also during continuous 
     working of the press)
   - function "strip insertion"
   - function "stack counter" 

* Optional monitoring of slide final position

* Optional stack ejection monitoring for each stacking channel

* Optional conveyor monitoring for each stacking channel

* "Stack ejection" unit
   - Monitoring of ejection time
   - Monitoring of starting and final positions of the ejection actuators
   - Control of standard ejection systems or control of combined lift and ejection systems

* System PACO8000 can include up to 6 motor controllers:
   - servomotors or step motors
   - it is possibile to program the press angle for motor start
   - optional function "angle by stock thickness" (in this way you can program the total skewing stack angle 
     and PACO automatically calculate single rotation for each lamination depending on the sheet thickness)
   - rotation control (by encoder installed inside the motor) for step motors
   - motor controller parameters can be programmed and optimized in function of the rotating matrix

* Servomotors with high performance
   - Feedback system with resolver
   - Low moment of inertia
   - High value of maximum torque
   - High value of torque constant

* Optional automatic stack height correction
   - it is possibile to connect an external stack height measuring system to automatically modify 
     the programmed stack height (closed-loop system)

* Sheet thickness measuring unit
   - 1 or 2 floating points of measure
   - Analog or digital measuring sensors
   - Every points of measure (sensor) can be assigned at one or more of the stacking channels
   - It is possibile to use the mean value of two different sensors to increase the measurement accuracy 
     (for example in case of single-row tool)
   - Measuring monitoring range to check that sheet thickness remains inside a programmed range
